Dazzling Killmen's best
release yet! "Medicine Me is a whirling prog-hardcore masterpiece,
technically precise, but emotively performed. "Poptones" is
an update of the classic as only the Killmen could muster. First pressing
on burgundy vinyl. Though now out of print, these songs has been included
on the "Recuerda" collection, catalog number GR#36.
SONGS:
Medicine Me Poptones
LINE UP:
Darin Gray: electric bass
Nick Sakes: vocals, guitar
Blake Fleming: drums
Tim Garrigan: guitar
Recorded by Steve
Albini
Cover photo by Mark Buckheit
COMICS:
Medicine Me by Mark Fischer
Fall Down Stand Up by Rob Syers
Mourning Cloak by Paul Nitsche
FUN FACT(S):
This the first release to feature the addition of Tim Garrigan to the
line up. Though recorded some time later, "Medicine Me" actually
came out before the Killmen's first LP "Dig Out The Switch"
(on Intellectual Convulsion Records). "Poptones" is a Public
Image Limited song. The wild radio sounds feeding back at the end of
the song were actually a "happy accident" - the stuff just
started blaring out of Darin's amplifier!
